Rumour once had it that May D of P-square would be signing
off the record contract with the S quare Records, but investigation on the
story led nowhere. Apparently the singer who got signed into the Square records
2011 was confirmed this morning by Square Records boss Jude Okoye the singer would be leaving the label. A
close friend of May D finally opens up talking about how unhappy May D has been for a
couple of months and always wanted to spend much like the omo baba olowo
publicly known as Davido.
He added that just because May D rides P Square’s
Hummer H2 doesn’t mean he is happy with the source offered.
The Square Records boss Jude Okoye made his statement known
to the public: I, JUDE ‘ENGEES’ OKOYE of Square Records Limited and Northside
Entertainment Limited hereby announces to the general public that Mr.
Akinmayokun Awodumila, otherwise known as MAY D is no longer an artiste under
the aforementioned outfits due to irreconcilable differences.
We at Northside and Square records wish him all the best in
his career and life.
May D featured in the twin’s hit track titled ‘Chop my money’
one of the tracks in the twins album ‘Invasion’
which had a killer remix with the famous Akon. He also shot two video under
Square Records ‘Soundtrack and Ile ijo.
