After much pressure from the Wednesday Champions League match against Italian giant 'Juventus', upset Chelsea fans decided to discriminate the 25-year-old super eagles and Chelsea player 'Mikel Obi' on Twitter. Due to the racism pressure the fans inflicted on him for giving the ball away ten minutes before the game ended and failing to prevent the opposite team from equalizing, Mikel Obi deleted his Twitter account.
However the issue concerning the racist tweets from fans has been made know to the cops by Chelsea FC, as stated in their statement concerning it.
'We’ve been made aware of racist tweets targeted at Mikel which are totally unacceptable, disgusting and abhorrent. We’ve informed the police and support taking the strongest possible action’, the statement read.
