One Tottenham's key player Van der Vaart has been transferred to Hamburg. The German club tweeted: "It's official, Welcome home", with picture of the 29-year-old in number 23 shirt.
The Netherland international was sign from One of Spanish giants Real Madrid on transfer deadline day 2010. He joined Tottenham on a three year deal for £10m.
Van der Vaart expressed his feelings on his twitter account"Of course i am sad to leave Spurs and especially all fans which have been nothing but great.
"Thanks to the best fans in England for an amazing time".
Not only Van Der Vaart expressed his feelings on this sealed deal. Coah Thorsten Fink said"I am delighted that Rafael van der Vaart will be palying for Hamburg again. He will be a strong addition to our team."
The Dutch man played at Hamburg from 2005-2008, making more than 90 appearances and neting 39 goals.
He also scored 15 times in 36 appearance during his first season netting 13 goals the following campaign.
