Hulk Signed To FC Zenith St Petersburg For €40m
Brazilian Star Hulk, 26-year-old has been signed to Russian club Zenith St. Petersburg.
Hulk was transfered from Porto to Zenith for €40m on a five year deal. He is known for his skills and stance on the ball and has made good contribution for his former club Porto FC.
Hulk said: "I was very happy in Portugal and i want to be happy in Russia too."
Hulk played for Brazil in this summer's Olympic football tournament has been signed to help Zenith FC to reaching great levels in the coming Champions League.
Hulk further thanked his former club (Porto) for introducing him to European football and described his move to Zenith as "another victory, another important step"
The Brazilian football was signed to Porto from Japanese side Tokyo Verdy in 2008, scoring 54 goals in 103 matches for the Japanese club side.
The Russian club were announced to have sign a talented Benfica midfielder 'Axel Witsel',23 for a similar amount.
Zenith manager 'Dmitry Tsimmerman' expressed his intention of signing the two players:"We are trying to sign them before september 3 deadline for the Champion League so they can play for us in that competion as well as the Russian League."
